Satsang: शिवोऽहम्: Shivoham - “I am Shiva.” hosted by Vanessa

Saturday October 11th

19:15 - 20:15

Satsang is coming together in the spirit of truth - a space to pause, reflect, chant, and tune into the essence that unites us all. At the deepest level, we are all expressions of the same universal consciousness. This essence lives in the mantra शिवोऽहम्: Shivoham - “I am Shiva.”

Shivoham invites us to look beyond differences, to recognize our shared essence, and to feel the deep connection that binds us to one another and to all of life. But this connection also calls for action. If you, I, and all beings share the same essence, then we cannot turn away when another suffers. With so much pain and division in the world, it may feel easier to close our eyes. Yet the practice is to stay awake - to let awareness guide us into kindness, nonviolence, and meaningful support for those who need it most, and to use our communal strength to care for the vulnerable.

Let us come together to remind each other of this truth. Through reflection, meditation, chanting, and shared presence, we strengthen our sense of community, deepen our connection to consciousness, and embrace the responsibility that arises from knowing we are not separate. In line with those values, we will collect donations for gazasoupkitchen.org at the event.

LOCATION: Three Boons Yoga Berlin-Kreuzberg Dresdener Str. 11 or on our 3Boons Live-Stream

Costs: Free if you took the class right before, otherwise by donation for www.Setterburg.de or 3YB/USC Login.

Vanessa Leins

Vanessa discovered yoga during her first trip to India in 2018 and was immediately drawn to its meditative practices and philosophy. Since then, she has been fascinated by questions about consciousness, the illusion of the self, and non-dualistic teachings.

After her first Jivamukti class at Three Boons, she was hooked. She found her favourite studio, started a regular asana practice, and embraced the holistic approach of the method.

Vanessa completed her first 200h Vinyasa TTC in 2020, followed by another 200h TTC with Three Boons in autumn 2022. She is currently under the mentorship of Tara, continuously learning from her teachers and life itself.

Her strong interest in science and the human body led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in biology. After graduating, she decided to combine her love of movement, scientific curiosity, and altruism by starting a training as a physiotherapist.

The yogic practices inspire Vanessa to treat all beings with compassion, a daily practice both on and off the mat. She is grateful for the opportunities, inspirations, and teachers she encounters every day.
