Satsang: The Dance of Surya and Chandra
Saturday January 10th
19:15 - 20:15
join Ida for an evening of reflection, mantra and connection and tune in to the wisdom of surya & chandra.
stories about surya, the sun and chandra, the moon - expressing the duality & unity that underlies existence.
the dance between surya and chandra is one of the most poetic symbols in yoga thought and cosmology.
this dance represents not just the rhythm of day and night, but the eternal balance and interplay of life’s two great forces — light and dark, motion and rest, heat and coolness, expansion and contraction, inhalation and exhalation, order & chaos, masculine and feminine, self & others, known and unknown, consciousness & subconsciousness, illumination & reflection.
unity isn’t the absence of duality - dualities exist but they merge from one source and ultimately vanish into it.
existence is not static — it is a dance of opposites forces weaving into one living whole .
in the cosmic dance, surya and chandra move in a divine rhythm.
this continuous alternation is the dance of time itself.
it shows how creation is sustained by balance & unity, not dominance.
neither sun nor moon rules forever — they bow to one another, creating harmony.
“may the light of surya guide our actions,
the calm of chandra soothe our mind,
and the dance of both within awaken the bliss of our true self’
Om, peace, peace, peace.” 🌞🌙
