SONIC SERENITY VOL.XIV: The Cosmic Edition w/ DJ Pete+Juju
On this day, we’re diving straight into the origin stories of the universe: the ones whispered by the ancient Rishis and the ones decoded today by modern cosmologists pointing their telescopes toward the edge of time.
The sages of the Vedas spoke of a universe born from vibration: Nada, the primal sound. Through deep meditation they received insight, Sanskrit, and mythic visions of how everything began.
And now, thousands of years later, science looks into the same mystery through a different doorway: dark matter, cosmic background light, the geometry of space itself.
Mythology meets astrophysics.
Meditation meets measurement.
Vibration meets observation.
To guide this journey, DJ Pete will weave a special cosmic soundscape: bleepy, futuristic techno transmissions inspired by artists like Jeff Mills, Sun Ra, Kraftwerk, Carl Craig, Sleeparchive and the early pioneers who used electronic sound as a portal to the infinite. He’ll also share how these sonic explorers created their own “modern telescopes”: machines that opened a direct line into the vast unknown.
Expect a class that feels both ancient and futuristic at the same time: where movement, breath, and deep listening become a way of touching the universe from the inside.

Having invented JIVÆlectro in the 2010s when Anja was probably (one of) the first ones teaching (Jiva[n]mukti) Yoga classes with live Electro DJ sets in cities like Berlin, Moscow and New York, we are very super excited and happy to announce, that our dear JuJu @juju_ju_ and @julietta_yoga__030 is stepping into these footsteps and taking the idea to another level.

Inspired by the positive energy of the sound system music scene, she practices yoga and meditation, believing that music and spirituality are intertwined. With a mission to spread joy and raise vibrations, Juju often shares playlists and teaches yoga classes where music and mindfulness intertwine. She believes that through the power of bass, we can heal, connect, and elevate our spirits. DJ PETE

To understand DJ Pete’s place in Techno culture, you have to trace the story back to the very beginning. He came up as a DJ in the pioneering days of the late-80s Berlin scene and joined the legendary Hard Wax crew in 1991.
As a producer, he made an early mark with the very first release on Chain Reaction in 1995 — the Basic Channel sublabel — together with René Löwe (a.k.a. Vainqueur) under the name Scion. Since then, DJ Pete has built up a formidable body of solo work and an impressive list of acclaimed remixes for key figures including Juan Atkins, Regis, Kessell, Orphx, Robert Hood, Rhythm & Sound, Monolake, Shed, and many others.
Behind the decks, DJ Pete holds equal respect. His sets combine a distinctive, finely honed mixing style with encyclopedic knowledge of Techno’s history and a relentless curiosity for new sounds that push the form forward. His high-energy performances weave together pure Techno, the Hard Wax tradition, and powerful House selections. His broad musical range was shaped by the influential Dynamic Tension nights at Tresor in the late 90s with Surgeon, by his longtime residency at Berghain since its opening, and by countless appearances at the most essential nights on the international circuit.
He is also widely known for threading Techno with Dubstep and for his deep love of Reggae — especially when playing on the legendary Killasan sound system as a core DJ of the seminal Wax Treatment events.
