GODDESSES, THE EMPOWERING QUALITIES OF FEMALE DIVINITIES: KALI – THE EGO DESTROYER
GODDESSES, THE EMPOWERING QUALITIES OF FEMALE DIVINITIES
KALI – THE EGO DESTROYER
A Special Jivanmukti Open with Émeline & Zorana
Goddesses are female deities representing power, nature, and the many dimensions of human experience. Among them, Kali embodies the fierce power of transformation. Often depicted with wild hair, a garland of severed heads, a sword in her hand, and her tongue extended, she may appear frightening at first. Yet Kali is not the destroyer of life. She is the destroyer of illusion—the force that cuts through ego, attachment, and everything that keeps us from seeing clearly.
Her greatest teaching is that transformation requires letting go. We hold tightly to identities, relationships, expectations, habits, and ideas of who we think we should be. Even when they no longer serve us, the familiar can feel safer than the unknown.
Kali invites us to meet change differently. Not by clinging to what has been, but by finding the courage to release what has reached its end. Her fierceness reminds us that not every transformation is gentle—and that destruction can also be an act of creation when it makes space for something new to emerge.
This special Jivanmukti practice explores the power of transformation: our capacity to release old patterns, surrender what no longer serves us, and meet change with courage rather than resistance. Expect a strong, dynamic practice that cultivates presence, fearlessness, and the willingness to move beyond the limitations of the ego.
* Strong Jivamukti asana practice
* Breath as an anchor through change and transformation
* Mantra and live harmonium to invoke the fierce energy of Kali
Guided by Émeline and Zorana, this class is part of a special series dedicated to the empowering qualities of the goddesses. Drawn together by friendship, a shared path of yoga, and a deep fascination with these powerful feminine archetypes, they offer a practice that weaves together strong, purposeful movement, uplifting music, mantra, and heartfelt reflection.
Rooted in the Jivanmukti tradition, their teaching invites a genuine exploration of yogic philosophy—not as abstract theory, but as timeless wisdom that helps us reconnect with the innate intelligence, compassion, and courage that already reside within us. Together, they invite you to explore the wisdom of the goddess—not as mythology alone, but as a living force that can inspire and empower our everyday lives.
Inspired by Kali, we explore the courage to let go—to loosen our grip on who we think we need to be and make space for what is ready to emerge. Kali reminds us: every ending carries the possibility of a more aligned new beginning.

Zorana
Zorana’s interest in yoga began with a question she has carried since childhood: Who are we beyond the identity printed on a passport? She was born in a country that no longer exists — an experience that shaped her curiosity about belonging and what remains when external definitions fall away.
For Zorana, yoga is rooted in the classical definition from the Yoga Sūtra:
Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ — Yoga is the suspension of the fluctuations of the mind.
To her, this means loosening the constant coloring of the mind — the judgments and narratives through which we interpret the world. It is not abstract, but the willingness to sit, breathe, observe, and allow space.
For a long time, she believed strength meant staying productive and managing everything well. Only later did she recognize how easily busyness becomes avoidance. Turning toward what arises, rather than covering it, is where practice begins.
Zorana has been teaching since summer 2023. In August 2025, she began her mentorship with Rowena Johnson, whose trust and guidance continue to shape her work as a teacher.
Alongside her teaching at Three Boons, she works as a seminar leader in medical centers across Germany, integrating yoga into neuro-orthopaedic therapeutic settings. She also works as a consultant in the public sector.
Émeline
»Separateness is an illusion.«
Émeline began her yoga journey at Three Boons Yoga Berlin (fka Jivamukti Berlin) in 2016 and has since then graduated here. She follows the method of Sharon Gannon and David Life, teaching a yoga of compassion and devotion and currently is undergoing a 630+ Hours mentoring program with Anja.
She also works as a neurotherapist specialising in trauma detachment and is forever grateful, through the teaching of yoga and neuro practice, to have the opportunity to help people on all levels: physical, psychological and spiritual.
Émeline grew up in the mountains and started to read oracles and tarots at the age of 15 and never left her decks behind since then.
